Root Ball 🌿 Cultivation

The mass of roots and substrate that forms around the roots of a plant in a container, ideally retaining its shape when the plant is removed for transplanting.

During the second re-transplant, Dakota described carefully getting underneath the root ball with his hands and covering it temporarily with a plastic bag to minimize air exposure, keeping the root disturbance window to 3–5 minutes per plant.
