Dryback 🌿 Cultivation

The deliberate period between waterings in which the growing medium is allowed to partially dry out. This encourages roots to expand in search of water and prevents overwatering.

Dakota described performing a 'mini dryback' by cutting watering for one day in the CO2 room after identifying overwatering as the likely cause of claw and deficiency symptoms. Mr. Q recommended extending the dryback and then hand-watering lightly for 2–3 days before resuming automated irrigation.
