Defoliation 🌿 Cultivation

The selective removal of fan leaves and lateral branches to improve light penetration into the canopy, increase airflow, and redirect plant energy to productive bud sites.

Heavy defoliation was performed at the greenhouse on day 21 of flower across multiple beds. Mr. Q commented that in a greenhouse with 90%+ nighttime humidity it is 'definitely worth the work' to go aggressive on defoliation to prevent mold and maximize light penetration. The before-and-after difference was described as being able to see 'all the way through the beds.'
