Coco (Coco Coir) 🌿 Cultivation

A fibrous growing medium derived from coconut husks, used as a soilless substrate in hydroponic and semi-hydroponic systems. Inert, pH-neutral, and known for excellent water retention and air porosity.

The CO2 room uses pure coco in 2-gallon pots, pre-fed at pH 5.5–5.8 and EC 3.5. The greenhouse raised beds incorporate 300 kg of coco fiber per bed mixed with trucked natural soil and amendments. Dakota also uses a light mix of coco with 10% worm castings for seedling germination trays.
